Unleashed Integration


Overview

We offer the following type of integration with Unleashed:

  • Order Syncing - the automated pushing of orders/shipments from Unleashed into MachShip.

We offer two different methods for order syncing:

  1. Orders synced to MachShip, with Shipments created after consigning
  2. Shipments synced to MachShip, with Shipments updated after consigning

Order Syncing Integration

Method 1: Order-Based Workflow

  1. Orders in Unleashed reach a status of 'Placed'
    • Can exclude orders with certain delivery methods (e.g., "pick up")
    • Status filters can be customized to match your workflow
  2. We create a pending consignment in MachShip with:
    • Warehouse and customer details
    • Unleashed order number as reference
    • Optional product details if SKUs are set up in MachShip
  3. Order is picked and packed by warehouse
  4. Warehouse opens MachShip and searches for the order using Unleashed order number
  5. Warehouse team adds packages onto the consignment
    • Can be pre-filled if using MachShip SKU dimensions
  6. Pickers/Packers select a carrier service, or simply use cheapest
    • Can be mapped to specific Unleashed Delivery Methods
  7. Once consignment manifested, we create a shipment in Unleashed with:
    • Selected carrier as Shipping Company
    • Tracking link as a comment
  8. Unleashed shipment is marked as dispatched

Method 2: Shipment-Based Workflow

  1. Shipments in Unleashed reach a status of 'Open'
    • Can exclude shipments with certain delivery methods
    • Status filters can be customized
  2. We create a pending consignment in MachShip with:
    • Warehouse and customer details
    • Both shipment and order numbers as references
    • Optional product details if SKUs are set up
  3. Shipment is picked and packed by warehouse
  4. Warehouse opens MachShip and searches using shipment number
  5. Warehouse team adds packages onto the consignment
    • Can be pre-filled if using MachShip SKU dimensions
  6. Pickers/Packers select a carrier service, or simply use cheapest
    • Can be mapped to specific Unleashed Delivery Methods
  7. Once consignment manifested, we update the Unleashed shipment with:
    • Selected carrier as Shipping Company
    • Tracking link as a comment
  8. Unleashed shipment is marked as dispatched

Order Syncing FAQs

Q: How are packages and dimensions handled?

A: You have two options:

  1. Warehouse team manually inputs packages (most common)
  2. Pre-fill using SKU dimensions stored in MachShip

Q: Can you customize the order filters?

A: Yes, we can customize which orders sync based on:

  • Status
  • Delivery Method
  • Warehouse location
  • Other custom criteria to match your workflow

Q: Can you map delivery methods to specific carriers?

A: Yes, we can map Unleashed Delivery Methods to specific MachShip carriers and services, or default to using the cheapest available carrier.

Important Info

  • Sync timing:
    • Orders sync from Unleashed to MachShip every 5 minutes
    • Shipping updates sync back to Unleashed every 5 minutes
  • The integration requires:
    • Unleashed API ID and API Key
    • API key can be generated under Integration > Unleashed API Access
  • Live shipping quotes are not available within Unleashed - quoting must occur in MachShip

Q: Which workflow method should we use?

A: The choice between order-based and shipment-based workflows depends on your processes:

  • Order-based is simpler if you ship complete orders
  • Shipment-based provides more flexibility for partial shipments

Q: Can we exclude certain warehouses from syncing?

A: Yes, we can configure the integration to exclude specific warehouses from syncing to MachShip.

Q: Can the integration be customized for our specific needs?

A: Yes, we have extensive customization capabilities including status filters, delivery method mappings, and field updates. Contact our integrations team with your requirements.

Integration Setup Process

All integrations are completed by our in-house integrations team that specializes in setting up integrations with Unleashed.

The process for getting your integration setup is:

  1. Scoping - Reach out to our integrations team at clientintegrations@machship.com - note, if you're using MachShip via a broker, please include the account manager in CC.

Our specialist integrations team will work with you to confirm the scope of your integration and ensure it will perform how you expect.

  1. Approval - From there, you will be provided with a quote for any associated integration implementation costs for approval.

  2. Implementation - Once approved, implementation will begin. We will need:

    • Unleashed API ID and API Key
    • Details on your preferred workflow method
    • Any customization requirements
  3. Handover & Testing - Once completed, we will let you know and you can conduct your own testing to confirm everything is working as expected.

Setup FAQs

Q: How long does it take to setup my integration?

Most Unleashed integrations can be setup inside of 2-3 business days from when we receive API access.

Q: Am I able to setup the integration myself?

We do not currently offer self-setup for our integrations due to the amount of customisation and testing required when linking your integration to your MachShip account.

Q: My requirements differ from what you've laid out, can you customise the integration?

We do have the ability to customise our integrations for each client to a large degree.
